Facilities Connection Survey
Please take a few moments to let us know how we are doing.
6/12/13 - Congratulations to Patty on being nominated as a Woman of Impact by
El Paso Inc! And congrats to the other nominees!
We teamed up with the Center Against Family Violence program here in town, to undertake our annual non-profit donation of time and product. We were able to donate six private offices, a reception station and waiting room furniture, as well as a lot of paint! Volunteers from the company donated their time on a Saturday to give the facility a bright, new look to uplift the staff and members of the program. Art Masters pitched in and donated six beautiful, framed pieces of art to finish out the project. A huge thanks to everyone that participated!
Congratulations to Patty Holland-Branch:

100 Fastest Growing Inner City Businesses
From Pandora Internet Radio, a Trenton-based trash-to-cash juggernaut, to a New Orleans reconstruction stalwart, America's urban cores are home to a host of rising stars. The Inner City 100, a project of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, highlights the fastest growing inner city businesses in America. For the 2011 list, ICIC received more than 2,000 nominations. Companies were then ranked by compound annual growth rate (CAGR) based on their revenue over the five-year period between 2005 and 2009 (the last year for which complete data was available).
Facilities Connection ranked 20th on the list.
20. Facilities Connection
CEO: Patricia Holland-Branch
Location: El Paso, TX
Year Founded: 1986
About the business:
In 1986, Patricia Holland Branch was working as an interior designer for an office furniture store. As the company began to focus more on selling rather than designing furniture, Branch decided it was time to look elsewhere. After failing to find a job that matched her aspirations, Branch became an independent designer. In 1987, after landing four clients, Branch opened her first office.
Facilities Connection focuses on furniture management and interior design services, but also provides other services. The company offers office furniture project and logistics management for commercial, industrial and governmental offices.

CEU Class Seminar
The USGBC/Facilities Connection hosted a seminar at the Curry Adkins building. These courses help provide a better understanding of wood, its capabilities in commercial furnishings and the concept of "certified wood." The course also explains how it pertains to the USGBC LEED(r) Rating System and is intended to dig deeper into the BIFMA e3 Sustainabililty Standard by reviewing more details, and providing real life examples. Here are some pictures that were taken of our team and other designers in the crowd as well.
